A passenger has died after a bad smash at East Gresford north of Maitland.
Emergency services were called to Bingleburra Road just after 4.30 yesterday morning to find a car had crashed into a safety barrier before rolling.
The 41-year-old male passenger was thrown from the vehicle and died on the way to hospital.
The 31-year-old driver wasn't injured and was taken to the John Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing.
Investigations are continuing and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
