A man's been charged with stalking after he allegedly chased after a 16-year-old girl in Newcastle West.
The teenager was walking along Wood Street just before 8.30 yesterday morning when she noticed a man walking towards her.
Police say the girl crossed the road but was followed and then chased.
A number of onlookers intervened an police arrived and arrested a 42-year-old man a short time later.
He's been refused bail to front Newcastle Local Court today charged with stalk/intimidate.
Police are also investigating the alleged approach of two women by a man between 7.00am and 7.30am yesterday at Islington Park .
